Composting at Wild Wolf Brewing Company

You know we do our very best to approach life and business with sustainability in mind. One of the simplest (and most overlooked) ways to do that is composting. If you have a spare corner in your yard, consider composting! It doesn’t have to smell bad, and it only takes up as much space as you’re willing to spare. And the benefits? Well, it adds rich nutrients, organic matter, and beneficial microorganisms to soil. It’s a great, natural alternative to chemical fertilizers. Oh and it’s EASY and LOW MAINTENANCE.
Did you know our ten acre property has several composting projects out back? We add our composted soil to our raised bed gardens and to our flowerbeds. We add kitchen scraps (no meat!), yard waste (leaves, branches, and weeds), and chicken litter to our piles. With occasional turning and watering (if it’s been dry), pretty soon we have rich soil to put to good use. Compost creates itself while we’re busy doing important things, like brewing award-winning beer and serving up the best farm-to-fork fare around.
