Two Paws | 4.7% ABV |20 IBU
This beautiful Belgian Brown Ale was created from the second runnings of our Wild Wolf Four Paws. We added a blend of additional malts to layer the flavors and fermented it with Belgian yeast. As is typical of most Belgian yeasts, this lends
a slightly more pronounced spice to the finished beer. This beer will have minimal hop notes and the malts will dominate both aroma and flavor, with spice notes also apparent.

Strawberry Schwarzcake
5% ABV | 20 IBU
This is not your typical fruit beer and definitely not what you expect when you see its black color and tan head. This beer is extremely light in body with notes of chocolate and roasted malt and just a touch of strawberry flavor to balance the astringency; finishing clean and crisp. If you dislike fruit beer and dark beers – you’ll be pleasantly surprised! Give this beer a try!

Always check Facebook to see if we are open during the big storms!

Wild Wolf Brewing Co. Receives Virginia Green ‘Brewery of the Year’ Award
Wild Wolf Brewing Company is proud to announce that we  are the recipient of the Virginia Green 2016 Travel Star Brewery of the Year Award!
The Virginia Green Travel Alliance is an organization that connects the public with green businesses in the tourism industry. They award their top members across ten categories with annual Travel Star awards. Check out their website for info about green businesses in the area!
Our sustainability efforts encompass every aspect of the business. From the offices, to the brewhouse, to the restaurant, we make sure to do everything we can to stay green, and we’re always looking for new ways to go even greener!
Recycling, composting, and water and energy conservation are the biggest focal areas, but another main one is the utilization of cans, rather than bottles, for the vast majority of our beer packaging. Cans weigh less than bottles, which saves fuel, and require less cardboard packaging material.
Spent grain from the brewing process becomes cattle feed at a local beef farm. Local ingredients, including this local beef, are a key feature of our restaurant’s sustainability plan, which also involves energy efficient kitchen appliances and equipment, low flow faucets, and strict limitations on the use of disposable products. And, of course, composting and recycling.
The 10 acre property contains plenty of other sustainability features! We have mushroom logs (for oyster mushrooms and shitakes) which would have otherwise been “waste wood”. We have several large raised garden beds and we organically produce vegetables and herbs for our restaurant kitchen, and some green snacks for the chickens. Most importantly, we have a 400 hill hopyard of Cascade hops that is entirely pesticide free! The hopyard is home to our flocks of chickens and ducks that eat pests and fertilize our hops naturally. The chickens also produce a rainbow of delicious eggs which are used in our bakery.
Speaking of bakery, it’s a great sustainability asset to us! Not only are our breads fresher, and require no packaging, they’re made with some of our brewery’s spent grain. Our baker, Higgins, also uses spent grain to produce dog treats. This is a truly inventive use for spent grain, and dogs love them!
We also carefully monitor our heating, cooling, and lighting efficiencies, as well as limit office printing. All in-house documents that do require printing are prepared on the back side of used restaurant menu pages.
We are proud to be recognized by Virginia Green for our sustainability efforts! Environmental awareness impacts every decision we make, and we’re looking forward to a greener future! Cheers and Thank You!

What do they drink at Wild Wolf?
An introduction to our staff and their beer of choice!

Meet Lisa… She’s the Retail and Marketing Coordinator. Most of the time you’ll find her in the Gift Shop, where she’ll be happy to answer all of your beer and brewing questions.

Her current favorite beer (and she really struggles to pick just one) is the Dry Stout. The slight astringency and smooth finish are just the thing after a shift.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys hiking, fiction, botany, and diving deeper into the beer universe.

What’s New on Tap
Belgian Dubbel
Our Belgian Dubbel pours a deep reddish copper, with notes of plum, cherry, and caramel on the nose. There is low hop bitterness and no lingering finish. We added just a bit of honey to make the already malty, sweet character a perfect choice for cold weather. 7.3% ABV, 18 IBU.
