Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards
Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is Charlottesville’s newest boutique winery & vineyard and one of our favorite destinations. It offers you something few others do: a topnotch restaurant-like experience. This is the place to go if you want to enjoy outstanding food, taste great wines and enjoy views so beautiful it almost seems unreal.
What sets this vineyard apart?
Chef Amalia Scatena employs a “vineyard to table” approach to create seasonal menus of dishes with ingredients grown right at the vineyard or very nearby. Scatena was Chef de Cuisine of Fossett’s at Keswick Hall, named by Conde Nast Traveler as best hotel in North America for food during Scatena’s tenure.
Insider tip
Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is a hot lunch spot, especially on Saturday afternoons. Plan to be there early to avoid waiting time. If you are on a wine tour, you do want to calculate in some extra time to fully enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views. The Croque Monsieur is Scatena’s favorite. Customers’ favorite dish, meanwhile is the plate of Pippin Sliders. We tasted several items on the menu, and simply recommend you to taste it all!
