Our Wine Routes are fully customizable. Want to leave out or add wineries, breweries or cideries? Go for it! You can even create your own route. After booking you’ll receive a link to set your itinerary. Groups 8 and up can tour this route, but should plan on visiting up to 3 venues for 5 hour tours.

You can set your pick up location after you book your tour. The Downtown pick up is used as an example to show driving time and distance for this route.

Jefferson Vineyards realizes Thomas Jefferson's dream for making fine Virginia wine. They still grow the majority of their fruit on sites selected by Jefferson in 1774. Their wines won several prices and awards and some believe Jefferson's Viognier is some of the finest this side of Condrieu.

Tastings $10 per person. A souvenir glass is included. Groups of 8 or more are encouraged to make a reservation and prepay for optimum experience. The tasting fee for groups of 8 or more is $15 per person. Large Group Tastings (15 to 50 guests) are available with a reservation ONLY and special pricing. Blenheim is situated in the heart of the Monticello Wine Trail. Enjoy the view while sipping award winning white and red wines. The vineyard is owned by artist and performer Dave Matthews, who also designed the tasting room building. On most Saturdays there is a foodtruck.

Open daily 11am-5:30pm.

First Colony offers a homey atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable pourers. The tasting room offers plenty of food and there’s a nice outside deck that on beautiful days just begs you to stay just a bit longer and to sip just a bit more wine. First Colony’s winemaker Bardford MCCarthy prefers to let the fruit express itself and won several awards in his long career. The 2013 Zephyr and 2013 Rosà won Bronze at the 2015 Virginia Governors Cup.

Open Monday to Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-6pm.

Tastings $7 per person. Fees are waived with 3-bottle purchase

Taste internationally applauded wine in a no-frills atmosphere. Michael Shaps Wineworks offers a unique wine experience as you can taste both their award-winning Virginia wines and their Premiere Cru Burgundies grown and bottled in France by Michael Shaps.

Open daily 11am to 5pm. Last tasting starts at 4:45pm.
